Camp Harmattan was established in 1955. It is a ministry of the Canada West District Church of the Nazarene. It is managed by an Executive Director and a governing board elected by the Church of the Nazarene. The board consists of 12 individuals that are passionate about the ministry of the camp and makes decisions and policies that help keep the ministry and operation of the camp vibrant and effective.
Camp Harmattan is a not-for-profit organization that relies on the generous financial support of donors.
Camp Harmattan is an active member of Christian Camping International/Canada. This organization dedicates resources to train and support leaders in the Christian camping ministry. Led by a board of experienced individuals (often camp directors themselves), this group is committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of the Christian camping.
