Larry Johnson is the Executive Director of Camp Harmattan. He and his wife Bev joined the ministry here in August of 2007 after being involved in other areas of camp ministry in Central Alberta for a number of years. Larry and Bev have 2 sons and 3 grandkids that they love to spend time with when they can. They are currently living in Lacombe and are continuing to be involved in music ministry in that area.
Nancee Winchel is the Office Manager for Camp Harmattan. She takes care for registration for all of the summer camps and events, as will as reservations for additional church camps and retreats. Feel free to contact her at nancy@campharmattan.com if you need information in those areas. She joined the Camp Harmattan team in May of 2007 from a similar Nazarene camp in New York State. She has loved getting involved in the community here and spends time with friends whenever she can.
Russ Friesen is the Facilities Manager. He takes care of repairs, and every day maintenance and upkeep of the facilities along with hosting groups that use our facilities. Russ and his wife Joyce along with their children Connor, Carson, and Joelle moved to Camp Harmattan from Didsbury in 2004 and have been actively involved in the community since then. When the Friesens aren't playing hockey or hanging out as a family, you can find them catching a Roughriders or Flames game when they can.
Lisa Morgan is the Program Manager. In filling this role, she will be in charge of all of the programming for the summer youth camps and the activities for family camp as well. This includes the coordination of staff and volunteers, so feel free to contact her at lisa@campharmattan.com if you are interested in those areas. Lisa is originally from the Sundre area and joined the team here in December of 2007. Lisa has been involved in camp ministry for a few years as well as in other ministry capacities. She is definitely excited to be part of the staff here at Camp Harmattan and looking forward to an awesome summer!
