Work Crew

Work Crew is for students who have completed Grade 8. This program teaches students to work with a servant heart as they help our team in some of the behind the scenes areas of running summer camp. Students on the Work Crew team are given the opportunity to gain work experience and we encourage them to use this experience when they apply for future jobs.

Student Cabin Leaders

Student Cabin Leaders must have completed Grade 10. This program is intended to take students deeper in their leadership skills. Students will be given many opportunities to practice the skills they have learned as they serve directly in the cabins with the students attending our summer camps. We encourage them to use this experience when they apply for future jobs.

Adult Volunteers

Our camps at Harmattan are the perfect place to give back. We look for people who love God and love people. Other personal interests that would be an asset would be camping, archery, climbing wall, tubing in the river, music, arts, crafts, and team sports.

Application Process

Volunteering for Harmattan’s Summer and Year-round Programs offers great rewards. Under the supervision of our executive team, volunteers help ensure the safety and well being of our campers. Harmattan is entrusted with the care of children, therefore all volunteers interested in interacting with our campers must submit to a criminal background check through back check.

Skilled Trades

With many buildings to maintain and a large property, we appreciate the help of all the volunteers that give of their time and skills to maintain and improve the many different aspects of Camp Harmattan. We also have a regular need for workers to help out on our work days and at other time throughout the year.
